FEAR PIER: Safe Harbor?

Would you choose to dock at a place called Fear Pier? “Fear” is usually the driving force that compels one to seek safety. We are encouraged to fear the LORD, so I set out to try and grasp what exactly that means. “Come, ye children, hearken unto me: I will teach you the fear of the LORD.” (Ps 34:11)

Lisa’s first Sunday this side of the womb was spent at Tomah Baptist Church, and besides a few short semesters at college, she has been here ever since. Somewhere between the ages of 5 and 6, a small mishap at home led her mom to ask, "If you had died, do you know if you would go to heaven?" She did not. After a time of talk and reciting verses, Lisa accepted God's salvation. She has accumulated a few responsibilities at TBC over the years, but her favorites are the ones where she gets to study and teach from the Scriptures.
